We are happy to announce that ScummVM now supports _Adibou 2: Nature & Sciences_, a 1998 expansion of Coktel Vision's _Adibou 2_.

While the original _Adibou 2_ game focused on reading and mathematics, _Nature & Sciences_ explores new topics: history, geography, science & technology, the countryside, and everyday life. Each subject features six playful educational activities. Please note that the 3D car driving minigame is unfortunately not supported in our ScummVM reimplementation, as it was based on a different engine from the rest of the game.

To help us during the testing period, dig out your _Nature & Sciences_ CD, grab a [daily build](https://scummvm.org/downloads/#daily) and read our [testing guidelines](https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Release_Testing#Testing_Guidelines). You will also need an existing installation from the base _Adibou 2: Environment_ CD, and to copy the contents of your _Nature & Sciences_ CD into a freely named subdirectory of the main game directory, as described in [our wiki](https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Adibou_2). Then, register the expansion in-game via the "Land of Knowledge" screen, and start collecting sweets as you complete Adibou's activities…or encourage a young relative to do so! Hardworking players may even earn a diploma upon completing a module, which they can proudly display in their room!

Mientras que el _Adibú 2_ original se centraba en la lectura y las matemáticas, _Nature & Sciences_ explora otros temas: historia, geografía, ciencias y tecnologías, el campo y la vida cotidiana. Cada materia contiene seis actividades educativas muy entretenidas. Tened en cuenta que el minjuego de conducir el coche en 3D, por desgracia, no está incluido en nuestra reimplementación de ScummVM, ya que se basaba en un motor distinto al del resto del juego.

Para ayudarnos con el periodo de pruebas, sacad vuestro CD de _Nature & Sciences_, haceos con una [compilación diaria](https://scummvm.org/downloads/#daily) y revisad nuestras [normas para pruebas](https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Release_Testing#Testing_Guidelines). También necesitaréis una copia ya instalada del CD de _Adibú 2: Entorno_ y copiar los contenidos de vuestro CD de _Nature & Sciences_ en una carpeta con el nombre que queráis dentro del directorio principal del juego, tal y como indica [nuestra wiki (en inglés)](https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Adibou_2/). Después debéis registrar la expansión dentro del juego en la pantalla "Land of Knowledge" (tierra de los conocimientos) y empezar a conseguir chuches a medida que completéis las actividades de Adibú... ¡O pedirle a un pariente más joven que lo haga! Quienes se esfuercen más, ¡podrían conseguir un diploma al completar un módulo que podrán mostrar con orgullo en sus cuartos!

![GSoC 2011 Logo](/data/news/20110318.jpg) ScummVM is pleased to announce that it has been accepted for participation in Google's [Summer of Code 2011](http://www.google-melange.com/) program.

This is our fifth year in the program and we would like to make it our best yet.

We are now welcoming applications to join the program, provided that you are:

* A current [student](http://www.google-melange.com/document/show/gsoc_program/google/gsoc2011/faqs#eligibility) (undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate ...)
* Like point and click adventures
* Know some C++ and have some coding skills
* Like the prospect of spending your summer with the ScummVM team, writing superb code for cool games full time for 12 weeks
* Wish to get involved with a leading open source project in its field and become an asset to its community

Should you apply and be selected you will be rewarded, both financially thanks to Google and with gratitude, encouragement and the legally mandated minimal amounts of abuse by the ScummVM Team upon completion of a successful project.

You never know, we may even share our secret Grog recipe!

* Os gusten las aventuras point-and-click

* Querer participar en un proyecto de código abierto líder en su campo y participar en su comunidad

After having hosted our source code in Subversion for five years (to the day), we have today moved to the [Git](http://git-scm.com/)[distributed version control system](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distributed_revision_control), hosted on [GitHub](https://github.com/).

The new repository page is at [https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm](https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm).

For users nothing should have changed, but for developers it should now be much easier to contribute to ScummVM.
