You decide to set out to find your father who disappeared a while ago.

It was just 3.5 months ago when we started to prepare for this release, and now finally the day has come.

Ladies and gentlemen, please greet the one and only ScummVM 1.0.0 "Shiny Logo!" The long awaited, the most anticipated, the best... whatever.

We worked very hard on stability in this release, and in addition to all that goodness available since our 1.0.0rc1, we added a new set of ports for Motorola Linux-based phones (those on MotoEZX and MotoMAGX platforms) and fixed just a few hundred bugs.

The release is available from the [usual place](/downloads/), and the full list of changes can be found [right here](https://github.com/scummvm/scummvm/raw/v1.0.0/NEWS) in the NEWS file.

Now jump to the [downloads page](/downloads/), grab a build for your favorite device and spread the word that ScummVM is 1.0.0!

As you may have already noticed, we are in the process of switching from our old trusty logo and icons to new, slightly revised versions. The main change is that the lowercase "s" has now become an uppercase "S" -- this is meant to help stop the confusion lots of people seem to have about our name: We are called "ScummVM", and not "scummvm" :-).

Besides that, the new logo was touched up by its original author, Jean-Marc, to produce higher quality versions (in PNG and SVG format) of both the logo and the icon. As a result, they look better and yummier than ever before.

We are not yet completely done converting everything to the new logo and icon (boy, they are really present in *lots* of places), but are actively working on it. The upcoming 1.0.0 release of ScummVM will be the first to feature the new art everywhere.

So, I hope you like the new art just as much as we do :-).
Como você já deve ter notado, estamos no processo de mudar de nosso antigo e confiável logotipo e ícones para novas versões ligeiramente revisadas. A principal mudança é que o "s" minúsculo agora se tornou um "S" maiúsculo - isso serve para ajudar a impedir a confusão que muitas pessoas parecem ter sobre nosso nome: Somos chamados de "ScummVM", e não "scummvm" :-).

Além disso, o novo logotipo foi retocado por seu autor original, Jean-Marc, para produzir versões de maior qualidade (em formato PNG e SVG) tanto do logotipo quanto do ícone. Como resultado, eles parecem melhores e mais saborosos do que nunca.

Ainda não terminamos de converter tudo para o novo logotipo e ícone (cara, eles estão realmente presentes em * muitos * lugares), mas estamos trabalhando ativamente nisso. A próxima versão 1.0.0 do ScummVM será a primeira a apresentar a nova arte em todos os lugares.

As all of you have probably heard, we are still in the testing phase for the 1.0.0 release. So far we have gotten many testings results, because of you, our fellow users. Thanks again to all the people who have already done testing for the next release. Sadly, we are missing some tests for certain games though. Here is the list of games for which we really need some testing results:

* The Manhole
* Rodney's Funscreen
* Elvira II - The Jaws of Cerberus
* Bargon Attack
* Goblins 3
* Bud Tucker in Double Trouble
* I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream
* Nippon Safes Inc.

If you own one of these games please grab a [daily build](/downloads/#daily) of ScummVM and play through it. Submit any bugs you discover along the way to the [bug tracker](http://bugs.scummvm.org/). When you complete a game, report it on the [forums](http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=7599) so we can add it to our [release testing wiki page](http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Release_Testing/1.0.0). Be sure to provide the version, language, and platform of the game you're testing (in addition to the name of course) as well as what platform you are testing on. You can find more details on testing [over here](http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Release_Testing).

As you can see on our [release testing wiki page](http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Release_Testing/1.0.0), almost all testing results are from our desktop ports.
